Our urban nursery propagates a diverse range of plants suited to the mild maritime climate of Ōtepoti Dunedin.
We raise plants using our own potting mix, composed of homemade compost and aged woodchip, sometimes cut with pine bark fines. We use rainwater almost exclusively for irrigation.
As of 2025, any plants for sale will be available to visitors on Open Days and other events.
Many of the fruit trees we grow at George Street Orchard come from Habitate Heritage Fruits Nursery. Check it out for a great range of delicious and disease resistant fruit trees and berry bushes.
