Wild Dunedin Open Days
We are honoured to be hosting open days this weekend as part of the Wild Dunedin NZ Festival of Nature. If you or someone you know would like to explore George Street Orchard in the autumn, check out the link below for tickets. As of today (Tuesday), we are two-thirds sold out, so be in quick. Sessions are self-guided, start on the hour and run for 50 minutes.
I love this time of year: gentle sun, a bounty of fruit, the tail end of perennial flowers alongside the stems and seed heads of those matured earlier, the blondes of taller deciduous grasses wavering in the breeze and the calm of evergreen sedges below.

There will be a range of fruit on display and a few to taste – there may be a few grapes left if I can restrain myself, the first feijoas, plus late season apples and pears. We’ll also have our favourite books on display, showcasing inspiration and strategies for plant-driven, naturalistic, immersive landscapes. GSO aims for all this…with a sugary twist.
